A Path of Becoming Light
Advent is far more than a countdown to Christmas — it is a season of holy recalibration, a spiral of preparation, purification, and remembrance. Its deepest essence is not anticipation of Christ, but initiation into Christ-likeness — the sacred alchemy of the human being awakening to their own divine image.
The word Adventus means coming or arrival. But in the mystical current, this arrival is twofold:
This is the season of inner Bethlehem.
Advent begins in darkness — in the quiet womb of the year, when the nights are longest and the Earth invites us into stillness.
Just as Mary carried the Light in the hidden silence of her body, so too do we carry a Divine Spark in the concealed sanctuary of our inner world.
Advent asks:
What light is seeking to be born through me?
What must be softened, surrendered, or sanctified to make room for its arrival?
The word Christmas originates from Christ Mass — a sacred gathering, a high holy communion, a consecration of matter and spirit as one. But the Mass is not only a ceremony — it is the inner act of becoming:
The human being,
anointed by Love,
illumined by Wisdom,
transfigured into our Christed nature.
Advent is the pilgrimage from the unformed to the illumined — from spiritual seed to incarnated brilliance.
The lighting of Advent candles is not symbolic alone — it is an activation. Each flame awakens a threshold of the human soul surrendering into divine remembrance:
🕯 Hope — the spark that remembers darkness is never the end
🕯 Faith — the trust in what is not yet formed
🕯 Joy — the lifeblood of the awakened heart
🕯 Peace — the embodiment of unity, wholeness, Shekinah presence
Each week, the Light increases, mirroring the soul’s own journey:
from longing → alignment → devotion → radiance.
The final birth is not simply light received, but Light embodied.
